Surely the LORD is in This Place
is a compilation of my first year
of daily devotions written for the staff of the Hospice Home in Burlington, NC (a most wonderful group of Nurses, CNA's,
Social Workers, Volunteers and others). They were written to the staff often as personal musings, lessons and sharing
my experiences, hopefully to be of some inspiration and encouragement, even as the staff inspire and encourage me by their
faithful work. They are offered to you in the same spirit. They are slices of my life and observations during the
first year, with Hospice as the theme, life as the focus and God as the center. Richard draws predominantly from Biblical wisdom, but incorporates spiritual wisdom from varied
spiritual and secular texts.
